found out something today that hadn't heard or seen before today , pretty interesting . Kind of goes along with thee theory that Darryn hasn't been making the decisions.

Seen it on pod cast , where there was a guy that tweeted , that him and his family was at the BYU game and him and his family was sitting right behind the KU bench first row behind players -- - said they saw this guy presumably Darryn's agent because of his actions----anyways this Agent was sitting with KU's associate A D leaned over and whispered some in the A D. s , the A D then got up and went directly over to the KU Trainers and said something , and in response one got up and went directly to KU Coach's said something and then Peterson quickly after came out never to return to the game.--- Hmmm curious.

I dunno guys like guys from CBS were and other analysts Goodman Randolph Childress , and others have said that there is more to this then what we know, not getting the whole story. Saying they have been around Basket Ball long enough to know that if your having cramps or what ever a player usually would be showing signs--- like grimacing or facial expressions SOMETHING.

Now magically playing 35 minutes and when asked in post game Darryn was asked about cramping and his response --- -none what so ever. Now they are saying Darryn's Agent circling back and letting Mom & Dad and whoever else- - --HEY National media pushing back/catching on and saying possibly need to re group/ evaluate- -- hell I sure don't know just weird.

They are saying let's see if these cramps mysteriously tr-appear for the Utah game.

Self needing to substitute more freely than usual in response to the two day turnaround in a road game turned out to be effective in resting players to keep the defense doing what it could. Down ten in the second half and creeping back into the game in a very hostile environment while the refs allow aggressive defense tactics that favored Tech really worked in our favor as the dominant defensive squad.

I don't know either but Self letting someone not on the team decide during a game to shut it down doesn't seem valid. Peterson telling him I'm not able to play right now or Self himself noticing something amiss with DP is what has happened so far. I've even heard that it's not really his ankle or can't be cramping because I know what that is like is just media types doing what they think makes themselves sound knowledgeable. If he sits during the Utah game people will say I told you so.

Just like people on this Board all season thinking they can infer facts from the lack of information. I read the CBS guy's article. He has never before seen a discussion between an AD and an agent in a game so therefore it must be...X. Could be any other letter in the alphaber, but no, X is a big conspiracy so it must be true.

@ROCKCHALK2025 As a judge for 19 years, I found the legal principal of requiring evidence to draw conclusions applies pretty well to analyzing everything in life. In other words, speculation alone isn't probative. But speculation can generate theories about things, but theories without evidence are pretty hollow, so best usually to wait for actual facts.

@mayjay as a lawyer for many years, I concur. The stories about the assistant AD and DP’s “advisors”, assuming they are accurate and thus evidence, allow for different interpretations. In this case, we (I include myself) tend to prefer an interpretation that supports our gut feeling that something is off. This is a form of confirmation bias, even if we turn out to be correct. I am really looking forward to finding out exactly what’s going on. I expect it may not be until after the season, if ever.

BTW, my favorite DP moment so far was after the TTech game during the presser. DP called Flory out for being too modest and said Flory was the best defender in the league/nation. That was a sweet moment between the two of them and raised my opinion of DP as a player and a leader.

That's great but thing is chances are we probably won't ever find out the true facts, it will always depend on which parties you talk to or the parties giving their side.- -Back-- & forth ---Back & forth.

However does seems weird , I mean why would a party a father and his family who was going to watch this game and their seats were directly behind the players , why would he say such a things- -what does he have to gain by saying this ? what would be in it for him ?-- All he is doing is taking family to see the game wanting to see Peterson and A J -- doesn't make any sense for him just to yank this out of thin air it's not like he is profiting any money to say what he saw.

With the way things are now days with College Athletics and players anything is possible. These dam Agents are looking out for their investment so I can very strongly believe that this agent could easily be in total control of this whole thing making all decisions .

May be an unpopular take, but DP is good enough that he can call the shots on how much he plays and think Self should continue to let him as long as there is an understanding he will be fully available/play through pain a bit more come the tournament. The team seems to have adapted well to him being in and out of the lineup so I don't even mind it too much anymore.

Yeah, I don't mind too much now either. But I imagine that if he was limited and we lost some games, I'd probably be less agreeable.

Darryn Peterson is just one of four Kansas Freshmen to average 15.0+ PPG in school history:
                              Ben McLemore - 15.9
                              Josh Jackson - 16.3
                              Andrew Wiggins - 17.1
DARRYN PETERSON - 21.1 That's pretty impressive considering he hasn't played the same amount of time!
