This is awesome. Council is something else
-
@BeddieKU23 .that's our DAWG- -- -love this guy hit a home run with Council
-
Darryn Peterson is just one of four Kansas Freshmen to average 15.0+ PPG in school history:
Ben McLemore - 15.9
Josh Jackson - 16.3
Andrew Wiggins - 17.1
DARRYN PETERSON - 21.1 That's pretty impressive considering he hasn't played the same amount of time! -
My wife told me this was too far out…
I suggested that Kansas do PR clips of a fake German guy wearing a renaissance wig with one bang of wig hair tied straight up interviewing DP…
i’m darryn peterson…
…und I am Baron Dieterson… -
@approxinfinity LOL...Have some coffee!
-
I'll be at the Utah game. Hopefully we will be blowing them out and just need 25 minutes or so of Darryn
-
You suiting up in case? Enjoy! Very Jealous
-
We are
something special!
-
@BeddieKU23 SOmeone's got to make the shot! That's a cool video.
-
@BeddieKU23 I tried but Bill doesn't need a 6'1'' center

-
Your only 6 inches shorter then the former center sitting on his bench.
What about your wingspan/ arm length? We will be up 20 + so hopefully he'd let you in for the rock chalk chant
-
HA!
Any other bucketeers there, I will at least say hi.
-
@bshark You can probably rebound better than a few centers KU has had.
Hold out for a couple mil in NIL, though.
-
Hopefully we can see a rested DP for Saturday, we may need his late game heroics again
-
There’s a Twitter post going viral that HCBS and DP got into it before the game. It came from a courtside ESPN staffer. Anyone have insight? KU Athletics commented but didn’t deny it.
-
I don't think anything in the message would be too surprising. We know Self rides his players, especially when he thinks they aren't giving full effort. Sounds like DP wasn't feeling 100% yet and it was showing, and Self expects that if you make yourself available, you give 100% effort. Is a little concerning given how often DP has missed time and his ongoing hesitancy to play though small knocks, but I'm sure clashes like this happen more than we know between Self and players.

I saw Tiller had leg cramps last night, went to the bench… and was back in the game later.
-
@FormerlyStlJhawk Yup. Not everyone is delicate.
-
At this point we just have to hope he is ready to go in March. I’d say the previous two games are a good sign with him playing 30 plus minutes
-
I think he can, and wants to, play a key role the rest of the season for us. And he most likely has some legit health concerns. Maybe it’s just compared to some of the other dawgs on the team - Tiller cramping then going back in, Elmarko fight back from a season ending injuriy, or Melvin getting six stitches then just minutes later immediately back in and made an impact with an assist, a forced turnover, and a score - the optics just aren’t good by comparison.
He’s a valuable weapon, good exposure for the program, and seems like a good person. Hopefully he knocks my socks off in the weeks ahead enabling a deep tourney run. But for now, beyond a couple of admittedly great performances, he’s more an interesting (and often distracting) side story to me this season.
(But I’m still totally wearing loose fitting socks in hopes of getting some serious knocks!)
