The UFL had its draft in January; I didn't hear anything about it. Our man, Jason Bean was selected by the new team, Louisville Kings. The Kings play Birmingham on Friday, March 27 at 8 E on FOX. Jason is such a competitor, I think he will do well in the UFL.

Tommy Loyd's comments after the game were interesting; he didn't whine about officiating or anything else. Of course when your team is 23-1, ranked number 1 and had to play an away game in an arena where the home team is 38-0 on Monday Nights, most AZ reporters and fans weren't too upset. Shoot, I forgot to watch the game. QB Bean didn't have a great game and the Kings lost to Birmingham 15-13. Bean was 14/27 for 226 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs, Ouch. He was also the leading rusher 5 attempts for 27 yds. The Kings only had 46 yds rushing so they aren't a very good team right now. But, I will watch UFL football instead of MLB. Well shoot, Jason only played in 2 series in the first half and 2 series in the second half. The back up QB got more reps. The Kings lost with little to none offense. Oh well, I'll check in on the Kings once a week after each game, but my guy isn't doing well.

The false quotes are just for views, just like the Hurley headbutt headlines. I watched the video a couple of times and said what headbutt. But the telltale take came from the referee himself who said "what are you talking about?" We all have to get use to false headlines, etc. Just like the people we all remember speaking out and we knew most of what they were saying was false. Keep your skeptical filters in place folks. It's a bumpy ride on the internet.

As a peremptory coping devise, I'm focussing on Jason Bean's UFL game next Friday. He plays for the new team, Louisville Kings. The last several years since KU was out of the tournament by Sunday, I looked at all the UFL rosters for former KU players. I haven't done that yet. I really hope Jason has a great season and is able to catch onto an NFL team.
