I’ve never seen Allen so empty in my lifetime, I honest thought it was a women’s game when I turned it on

We did not lose. Reeves played well.

I was impressed by Reeves but that was about it tonight. Very sloppy and average at best defensively. Just the first practice game so nothing to be too concerned with

We've got a young team... almost babies. I'm glad we have Tre and Mel back to help mentor along the boys. Stokes is awesome... but we can't count on him to mentor being this young while he's also adapting to D1. Reeves looked so good, but how much of that was most everyone else looking bad? Self and staff have a major job cut out for them this year. Tre will definitely do his best to mentor and he's already starting the role of being a team leader.

I smell a run! (better buy more toilet paper)

@kjayhawks2.0 Years of relative futility dampens enthusiasm. The revolving door of the portal dampens enthusiasm even more. I watched some and never heard of the early 'star' of the game Reeves.

The team is deep and athletic. But not the most skilled.

I sort of liked the freshman big man over Mbiya… I think it lets you play more versatile position less basketball.

Too many bodies and not enough minutes. Really want to see Barnett or Rosario see the ball go in and be someone who can find a spot in the rotation.

Dawes needs to be a bit more assertive. Blyden started to find it in the 2nd half and think once he adjusts to the speed of the game and the spotlight of P5 ball he’ll be a bucket. He’s also really quick on D.

Overall, I know it won’t happen, but we’ve got the bodies and athleticism to play some really aggressive defense. A lot of full court press. We could play 9 guys and I think overwhelm teams with our athleticism.

@Kcmatt7 in his press conference Self mentioned several times going 10 deep, once he knows who his 10 best players are.
