“Coach gave me a hug,” sophomore forward Flory Bidunga said with a smile, describing what his coach was like in the locker room. “I was like, ‘Is that you, Bill Self?’ You know what I’m saying? But, he was happy, for sure.”

@approxinfinity I would’ve gave him a big hug and told him in his ear. “That last 5 minutes is what you have always been capable of son, let’s see it from here on out”

Coach is hoping that win will get the team to gel.

In addition to Flory, Coach was complimentary of ElMarko and said he was the player of the game. The bench didn't generate a lot of points, but ElMarko did his part largely off the stat sheet.

ElMarko was a bulldog on defense, especially at the end of the game. Deflections, big steal, generally creating havoc. With other guys scoring like they were he put his efforts where they were most needed. I thought it was by far the best he’s looked all year.

This is a team that needs high-octane fuel to be successful! That means, super high energy, all the time! We have the bench to use, especially if we have DP back!

They have to create havoc to be successful. Otherwise, their defense is nothing special at all, and then they are left to try to just outscore our opponents.

SPOILER ALERT: We may have the best athleticism in D1! I definitely put it at the top! We have speed and good size! We should be able to create huge havoc for all teams we face, and if we can keep that high energy going, it will lead to our opponents committing turnovers, taking bad shots and running stifled offense, and will lead to numerous runouts for us!

I smell a run! (better buy more toilet paper)

With the success of that last 5 minutes of regulation pressure, I wonder if we’ll see more of it in the games ahead. Sure hope so!

When Micheal Jordan scored 69 points, I knew I’d always remember it as the night me and Micheal combined for 70 points — Stacey King, Former Bulls Player
