@rockchalkjayhawk @kjayhawks2.0 Seems the NFL has a different view of Benson: named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for September. Walker named AFC Offensive Player of the Month.

I’d love for him to be awesome all year! But I’d prefer it if the other LT can get back on the field soon.

@mayjay I think he done a great job no question I just would like to see our high draft pick out there. Benson has graded out really well for being thrown into the fire.

I was trying to figure out why Caliendo was in at left guard today...all i could find on a Chiefs site:

The Chiefs benched Kingsley Suamataia in Week 4 and went with Mike Caliendo at left guard for the entire game. No details were provided as of press time, other than it was a "coaching decision." No matter the reason, the hits on Patrick Mahomes via Caliendo's path should have made it clear that he was not the answer out there. The Chiefs traded for Josh Ezeudu before the season began and kept Hunter Nourzad to also provide interior depth. Caliendo's ceiling is so low that it's hard to understand why the Chiefs wouldn't go with anyone else in that role.

                  Said Reid after the game:

“Before you guys ask, that’s between Kingsley and I,” Reid said. “But we’ll figure it out and down the road, we’ll be better as a team for it and Kingsley will be better for it.”

Odd. Must have got caught with hookers in Vegas at 4 a.m. or something.

Glad to see the chiefs going 4-0 to open the season before the bye week. A little worried about the WR room losing Rice and Thorton (wow dude didn’t even feel it til he stood up). They may have to reunite with Hill at this point because of the options they have. This game looked a lot like the 2025 chiefs. Obviously that’s not good but having K9 was the difference. But seeing Mahomes basically running for his live the entire game once again. They need to get the line figured out whatever the deal is with Kingsley and Simmons.

I’m all for Hill returning if he’s healthy. A couple months back he said he still has no strength in that leg. Hope he’s getting stronger and will be ready soon.

@rockchalkjayhawk ya I’ve been told by sources that he should be good by the of October for a return. I don’t like some of his off the field but I do see sign of him doing some maturing the last few years.

One of the most entertaining weeks of this year so far, some great finishes
