And yeah that red card was horse shit. The fall off to Pepi for the Belgium game is a real killer. He suuuucks.

I like a couple of skills Pepi has. He is typically perfect for Poch's pressing style. He attacks and tries to suffocate defenses after a turnover so they can't push the ball forward. Very good at that. hustler. He can score as well.

He's not crazy skilled like one of the superstar forwards in the world, but he makes things happen one way or the other.

      But yea, he's no Flo!

What a tale of two halves between Croatia and Portugal

Boring first half but very thrilling second one

        Really tough ending for Croatia.

I officially hate any offsides calls now. It's evolved to dog shit. They just cannot get it right.

The rule should simply be If a guy has his feet positioned even or on the midfield side of the defender, he's onside.

Now it's his head, ass and who knows what else that makes him offside!!! hate it. simplify and give the edge to the offense.

@rockchalkjayhawk Yeah, wouldn't it be fun to watch basketball or (our) football if a player was considered out of bounds when any part of his body was outside the line? None of those fun shots falling out of bounds...no reaching back to hit the pylon while helicoptering outside the goal line... Anything requiring super slo mo to detect should be eliminated. Just like the PGA eliminated penalties where the only person to see an infraction was a so-called fan calling in to think he would become an important part of the game.

Good one going on between Argentina and Cape Varde

              Can CPV do the unthinkable?

Cape Verde played very well all tournament. It is a shame that they lost. On the other hand, Messi keeps playing on.

For fans who haven't watched CPV's second goal, I highly suggest watching it, you will not be disappointed

Messi has been given more favorable rulings than anyone else and it's not even comparable. The fix is in.

@rockchalkjayhawk I hope he can show something but I don't see it. This next round is a sign for real progress from usmnt. The tournament would be a success if they make the quarters

@RockChalkinTexas-0 highly suspect, so was the last wc as well. He is very good too, doesn't need the extra help. Fifa is as corrupt as they come

Progress would be nice! I don’t have high expectations from here on out. A win vs the Belgium team that has had our number doesn’t seem likely, but who knows. The team seems to be on a run.

                                Wish Flo was available! Grr.

Of course it’s pretty easy to argue none of this WC run makes any sense at all after Poch’s oddball approach to the games running up to the World Cup. Crazy lineups, no team chemistry.

Maybe his genius plan is working and beyond my cognitive abilities. Good for him.

Two of my all time favorite players lineup with Belgium β€” De Bruyne and Lukaku.

I was always told when you foul someone from behind it's a red card. That's why our guy got the red card.

@wissox83 like many things in sports it doesn't always play out correctly per the rules. Paraguay should have had a ton of yellow cards yesterday
