@RockChalkinTexas-0 THIS. Along with Rock Chalk Algeria. It’s been so much fun getting to know some Algeria fans, as well as fans from the other teams hosted in the area. So far we’ve made CNN, ABC, and the Washington Post, along with a ton of Instagram influencer pages just saying how wholesome it is.

well how's about that? USA made it out of the Group already! awesome.
I hope Pulisic recovers. guessing he will not see the field til R32.
Pretty big surprise to see Pepi starting over a few other guys. But, can't complain, it worked out. I like Pepi's hustle and playmaking ability for a big forward.
I guess it doesn't really matter, but we picked up way too may stupid yellows. Gotta be careful, fellas. we need you in the next round! Straight yellows are reset after group, but not reds nor two yellows. Still get a suspension.
More Weah!
-
Yeah I've been impressed with how useful Pepi has been in link up play. Something Berhalter's stagnant offense never discovered.
-
I am still SMH in that Ecuador did not win yesterday, goalie saved 15-16 shots, almost broke the record.
-
@AsadZ 15 was most for 90 minute game. Tim Howard has record for an OT game (that game was a classic).
As a goalie Dad I loved to see it. Eloy Room was a hero!

Watching Spain vs KSA game I feel bad for Saudi Arabia goalie
This Saudi team is pretty bad
-
How about Cape Varde
They took points away from two giants in their group.

All that money spent by the Prince's people> They may not live long for embarrasing the Kindgdom.
Yep. I hope them and Qatar get blasted every game. Qatar played super dirty against Canada and cried after
-
Looking at these European teams they are so skilled and fast, no comparison.
What a disaster by Iraq.
-
@AsadZ i was and will be rooting for Iran. Not because of the oppressive regime there but in spite of it, because sport is an avenue to a more peaceful world (if not less corrupt). My barber is Iranian, a football junkie, and has been dreaming of this for four years.
-
Iran football team has been great ambassador of peace. I feel sorry for them due to unfair travel policy imposed on them.

DAAAMMMNNN! What a way to lose the game for the good ole USA today. Grrr.
I was hoping to go undefeated to boost our confidence. The second half was better when Pulisic was subbed in, but what a crappy way to lose.
There were some gaping holes in the defense early on.
I was complaining (to myself mostly) that in the first few games we didn't see enough of Tim Weah. Man, was i wrong. he was godawful today. So bad. I hope he turns it around. I thought he was a vital piece, but maybe Poch knows more than i do!
Still happy and grateful we're on to the Rof32. In my neck of the woods as well! Anybody wanna loan me $4,000 so i can go see the game??

-
@rockchalkjayhawk Buck up! Not the kiss of death, and being undefeated isn't so great. No one has gone undefeated in group play and gone on to win the World Cup since Brazil in 2002.

Yea, yea, I know. Suck it up, buttercup!
The drama of that last-second goal was just a bummer. Saw it coming a mile away when the ref wouldn’t blow the whistle. My fandom of the USA side is on par with my Jayhawk love, so I’m a bit more ingrained than most.Anyway, quite happy with their group play performance. Onto R32!
-
And we’re down to 32!! Exciting.
There are a few crazy hard bracket pairings, and a few easier paths to the next round.
Germany and France could face each other with a win. Same with Spain and Portugal.
I admit I know squat about Bosnia-Herzegovina. Will have to study up. Go USA!
P.S.: that Algeria game was fun! Anybody rooting for them as they are training in Lawrence?

@rockchalkjayhawk Rock Chalk Algeria

Ahh Canada...
