      THE KU 2026-27 ROSTER

I'll update this as players come and go. Awaiting some portal action!

      INCOMING FRESHMEN

      Taylen Kinney — PG — 5 star — 6-1 / 185

Scoring and playmaking guard. Not a great threat from deep so far.

      Davion Adkins — F — 4 star — 6-9 / 205

Athletic lefty with 7-2 wing span. Runs well, bouncy, lob threat, shot blocker. Effort not always there. Seems like he needs some maturity to his game before he puts it all together.

      Trent Perry — WING — 4 star — 6-5 / 190

High motor, but most say he’ll be a quality bench/role player. Tough, undersized for a wing, but plays bigger.

      Luke Barnett — SG — 4 star — 6-4 / 180

Shooter. Shooter. Shooter. Decent in transition. Good size, good motor, but not a great defender. Did I say shooter?

      POTENTIAL RETURNEES

From most likely to return, to least likely.

      Jamari McDowell — G — 6-5 / 200 — junior

      Samis Calderon — F — 6-8 / 200 — sophomore

      Kohl Rosario — G — 6-6 / 200 — sophomore

      KU PLAYERS IN THE PORTAL

      Flory Bidunga — C — 6-10 / 235 — junior / entered NBA draft

      Paul Mbyia — C — 7-0 / 245 — sophomore

      Bryson Tiller — F — 6-11 / 240 — sophomore

      Elmarko Jackson — G — 6-3 / 195 — junior

      WALK ON TYPES

      Wilder Evers — G — 6-4 / 195 — senior

      Corbin Allen — G — 6-5 / 175 — sophomore

      Will Thengvall — G — 6-4 / 190 — junior

      POTENTIAL INCOMING FRESHMEN

      Tyran Stokes — SF — 5 star / 6-7 / 230

Premier recruit. Sized like a forward, with guard skills. Can create off dribble. Finds the rim. Not a great shooter. Has the tools to be a great defender, playmaker.

KEEP AN EYE ON THESE PORTAL PLAYERS

      Tk

Surprised we haven't seen more KU guys announce their intent to enter the portal.

Absolutely do not click (new video sept 30 2025): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjs1LR1sarQ

@rcjhdraft just saw this, very unfortunate but at this point I wonder if most will test the transfer portal waters? Would be like Mahomes basically being a free agent every year, it’s going to get you a raise most of the time.

Kohl is up in the air now. Before today he was widely believe to be 100% gone so that is a shift.

Why does anyone want to follow this garbage? I know I'm beating a dead horse, but man, the second Bill Self retires, I'm out for good. I have ZERO interest in semi-pro sports. Especially with participants who don't give a crap about where they play, just the paycheck. I can't wait to hear about all these illiterate morons who blew the money they made, crying about how nobody taught them how to manage their money. They all laugh at the value of a FREE education that is so overpriced for the average American. Good riddance!

Is college athletics broken? Yes but it didn't start with the players it started with

The institutions valuing TV deals over fan experience. (Texas killed the big 12 with that longhorn network)

Coaches multi million dollar salaries with the ability to frog jump to the next multi million dollar deal at the drop of a dime.

And now conference realignment where schools on the west coast now travel to the east coast for a "conference game".

The players didnt break the system they are just the most visible part of a failed multi million money making machine.

                        Bull shit

Players are NEVER held accountable. People have ignored it for years. Players who can barely speak English, “graduate” from a university. I played juco in the early 90s, back when guys ACTUALLY had to pass the SAT. My conference was littered with D1-level players, Ben Wallace for one, because they couldn’t get into universities. Fast forward, and they have others take the test, like Derrick Rose. Or they create fake classes like UNC, or they all take the same major, like sociology at Duke.

All of this is done so they can get guys into college that frankly should never be there. The majority of these guys are low IQ. Getting a fake degree with alumni connections to help with employment still wasn’t enough. They can’t buy a fancy car and diamonds right now with that!!! These low IQ fs and the leeches want to destroy everything to get paid. Yet 99% can’t compete in the open market of basketball(NBA).

I hate to say it but I’m not gonna be disappointed if he stays gone. I’ll always wonder if Kohl had played all of his minutes against St John’s between silly TOs, missed dunk and the defensive lapse as time expired. Would be e have won the game? I know others made plenty of mistakes as well.

@BigBad players didnt create this system. Players dont negotiate tv contracts, players didnt have anything to do with conference realignment.

Can we be a little up set at the players id say yes but they didnt create the system they are taking advantage of whats provided.

U wanna be mad at someone be mad at the ncaa for not getting out ahead of this 20 years ago. Hell be mad at texas for destroying the big 12 then leaving for the sec. I just think being overly upset at players is Bullshit.
